A new comic bookstore, The Brooklyn Monster Factory, is opening up in da slope. The Grand Opening party tomorrow comes complete with pole hugging dancing chicks, along with djs pumping hardcore and punk rock. A couple of actresses from Seduction Cinema will also be there for viewing pleasures.

A 3-course meal in some of the nicest places in the borough for $20.06! This couldn’t come at a better time since karen and i decided to try every restaurant on 5th ave that we can afford.

The list of restaurants we’d love to dine in during the week:
1-Blue Ribbon
2-Blue Ribbon Sushi
3-Bar Minnow
4-Brawta Caribbean Café

Hmmm… they all start with B (for Brooklyn of course!) Let’s see how much cash we have. I’ll be happy even if we just have Blue Ribbon Sushi.

Going through the small archives last night, I realized some of the posts about China were never published. They were still sitting there waiting to be uploaded. Half a year later, you can read some of the adventures in
the Far East.
Of course, the pics are always available

Signal troubles on the F line in Brooklyn caused the F to be re-routed over the B/D line at Broadway-Lafayette. Would’ve made perfect sense if there wasn’t already a broken down train at Grand Street clogging up the B/D line as well. The front carriage of the F train pulled into the station to evacuateall passengers. Just another evening rush hour on the subway.

Our pal Megan, aka Penny Larceny, invited us to the GGRD Derbytaunt Ball this past Sunday. Admittedly, I am not hip enough to really enjoy the roller derby. It’s cute and fun, and it is a very unique form of entertainment. I mean what’s not to like about a bunch of chicks in saucy outfits, rollerskating around, and knocking each other down… girl on girl action, what hetero-male wouldn’t like that?

Besides the “fresh meat” that was paraded, I especially remembered the men’s toilet at The Delancey. Nailed against the wall was a stainless steel communal urinal that was filled with marbles. Marbles! Brilliant! Much better than the rank mothballs or that blue disk they use in other bars.

Oh Spring, how I miss you, Warm weather in the day, freezing in the night, nasal allergies, itchy eyes, daylight savings, baseball, and more baseball.

A couple of days after swearing off not to play in a fantasy league this year, Glen drops an email to me asking if I was interested in joining his league. I thought about it for 10 minutes, and decided that I’ll wait until next year to not play. I’m a baseball nut, and found myself thinking about Angels and Rangers triple-A players but had no idea what day of the week it was. The only hours that mattered were: 1:10, 7:10, 10pm, and 12midnite. A bit obsessive I know.
